Cancellation & Deposit
The Skin Therapy Room is a home based salon with limited appointments available, the time allocated for your appointment is reserved for you.
Our goal in The Skin Therapy Room is to provide a quality service in a timely manner, in order to do this, we have implemented the following policies.
Making a booking is acceptance of these policies.
A minimum of 24 hrs is requested for cancellations.
Full payment will be charge for late cancellations and no-shows.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure long appointments. This deposit can be paid via bank transfer or eftpos at the time of booking and will be deducted from the total cost of your visit.
Children and Personal items.
For the safety and confort we ask that children are accompanied by an adult at all times and carefully monitored.
Please note that personal items are responsibility of the client.
Any breakage or damage of salon items caused by the client may incur a cost.
The Skin Therapy Room monitors the privacy and confidenciality of personal information. Personal information collected by The Skin Therapy Room comprises name, address, contact details, some medical history, some financial information.
COSMETIC TATTOO POLICY
NUMBING CREAM : Due to a change in regulations, clients are now required to apply their own numbing cream. We recommend applying a thick layer of EMLA or NUMIT (which you can buy from your local chemist for under $10) 40min prior to your appointment.
I understand that I must not have botox/muscle relaxants/fillers within two weeks either side of my appointment.
I understand that for my booking deposit to be refunded all appointments have a strict minimum 5 working day cancellation notice.
I understand I need to book a 4 to 6 weeks touch up appointment after making this booking and if not secured, I may be charged additional fees for later appointment times.
I understand that I must disclose of all my medical history, including medications, as this may affect the outcome of my treatment.
I understand that I must strictly follow aftercare provided at the session . This includes not getting my cosmetic tattoo wet, exposure to sun, applying make up directly and avoiding sweating for 7-10 days following my appointment and follow the aftercare instructions specified on my aftercare kit.
I understand that I must cease Krill Oil and/or Fish Oil, Tumeric Supplements and/or Vit A Cream, Retinol Cream or Rosehip Oil, at least 2 weeks prior to my tattoo.
I understand that if I am a diabetic, take blood thinners or have pre-existing medical conditions, that I should consult my Doctor and bring a doctor’s clearance certificate to my appointment.
I understand that I am unable to be tattooed if I am pregnant. If I am breast feeding, I acknowledge the recommendation to express for 24 hours following my treatment.
I understand that if I am on any acne control medications such as Roaccutane, Accutane, Isotretinoin, or Doxycycline, I am unable to proceed with this treatment unless I bring to my appointment a clearance certificate from my doctor and I have previously discussed with The Skin Therapy Room Cosmetic Tattoo.
I understand that this procedure is for cosmetic purposes only and no guarantees have been made to me regarding the results.
I understand that once treatment has been performed no refunds will be given.
I understand that a touch up appointment visit is required to finish the treatment.
I understand in some cases a third visit is required to achieve the desired results.
I understand that for safety and insurance reasons, I should not bring children to my appointment.
I am over 18 years of age.
